Olympic Park Walk

Last week I took a 2 days to get out of Seattle and go for a walk in Olympic National Park. The snowfall situation has been dismal in the NW and to be honest I’m not all that pumped up about skiing right now. So I headed to Lake Cushman and the Staircase area for a short walk and overnight trip.

I didn’t have a tripod with me so my ability to shoot in the low lit forest was limited but I managed to get a few photos. Every time I go to the Olympics I’m amazed by how wild they are. Trees are old and huge, rivers are full and powerful, the mountains are HUGE and steep and it is overwhelmingly beautiful everywhere you look.

I think I’m more excited about spring and backpacking than I am for skiing and the Olympics will be on my “must visit” list!
